Dear All,
I have mad available the new version of the VLT spectroscopic paper
(v1.2) at http://www.sc.eso.org/~clidman/
I'd like to thank everyone for the comments I have received thus
far. They have certainly improved the paper.
I've deliberately put your name on this e-mail list because I'd like
you to give the paper a careful read. In particular, I'd like you to
concentrate on the following points (most of the points are minor)
1) The description of the searches in the paper should be carefully
checked by those who were leading the searches. My idea is not to give
a detailed description of the search techniques, but to give enough of
an overview so that rest of the paper is placed into context.
2) T02-047 - Rob, I've included a discussion you and I had on this
candidate as a private communication. Do you agree?
3) SN 2001gs and SN 2002fp - These were not securely
classified as SN~Ia from the VLT spectra; however, they have
IAU names.
At one stage SN 2001gs/S01-028/Chopin was considered a possible SN~Ia,
but Andy and I have relegated this one into the unclassified bin. Did we
follow this one later?
2002fp/C02-030/Troudux was never considered a possible SN~Ia. Was
this followed in the rolling search at CFHT?
Cheers, Chris.
