For those using LBL SCP computers:

While fixing a problem on an older machine (oscars), an old password
file was inadvertently distributed to all SCP PCs. To recover as best
we could, a password file from Feb 15 has now been distributed to all
    machines.

If you have not changed your password since Feb 15, then you should not
    notice a difference.

If you have changed your password since then, try your previous one.
If that doesn't work, or you can't remember it, then you'll need to
have your password reset. If any of you have an account newer than Feb
15, you will also need to have it reset.

No one's files should be affected by this. This was not hacker
    related.

I would strongly recommend that everyone try their password ASAP to
    confirm it.

If you have an emergency problem over the weekend, call Greg Haverkamp
on his cell phone 415-608-0623 or me (510) 654-6527 home.

Apologies for the inconvenience. (Especially to Richard whose computer
    had to be rebooted.)

    -Tony
