    Dear Alex,
Having a look at some of the data we took previously on FORS2, we could have directly acquired
some SNe. For example, in 0.6" seeing, S02-002 could have been acquired directly, but part
of this may have been due to the brightness of the host. This was also true for Isntix which also
    had a bright host.

       But T02-015 is certainly fainter.

The ETC gives a S/N of 12 in 30 seconds for a point source at I=24 and no filter, so the answer would
appear to be yes, but only under good conditions.

We could ask Paranal to try, but we would be charged the time for them trying and not succeeding.

However, the seeing on Paranal is probably not good enough to try this. It is fluctuating between 0.8 and 1.4.
At the beginning of the night it was around 0.7. So I have instructed Paranal to not do T02-015 just yet.

    Cheers, Chris.
