Hi all,
OK well it sounds as though it may not be worth going for a host for
Satie this NIRI run. If it turns out we dont get to use all our NIRI time
this run then doing Satie in June is still a possibility (There is no NIRI
time available in May).
I quite agree with Chris that these observations can take a long time and
we dont have much of a window. We are hoping to use essentially the whole
of the upcoming NIRI run (4 nights) so if everything goes perfectly we'll
get two targets. However banking on a NIRI run going perfectly is probably
not all that sensible at this stage so maybe we should start one SN with
ISAAC now.
However I am confused about when ISAAC is availble.

So What is happening now (19-22nd)? Is that time available? Also is
"service" time the same as queue, i.e. available to us or not? (Is Tony's
plan on the web correct now? It shows VLTI commissioning 23,24,25).
The disadvantage of using ISAAC now is that this would mean we have less
ISAAC time next month, when we dont have NIRI time either. Obviously this
needs to be decided pretty soon. How is this going to be finialised?
Isobel.
