    Hi Rahman, Serena,
      I've now cross checked the photometry with the 2MASS catalogue. The
    magnitudes agree within 0.05 magnitudes (the 2MASS magnitudes are
    brighter), which is not great but satisfactory. Hence, we do not
    agree with the photometry of Riess et al., unless we have
    selected the wrong object.

      If we tie the SOFI image to the 2MASS system, we get J=22.57. The
    colours suggest that this 99Q is quite either intrinsically red or
    reddened.
