SNIa mag difference z=1.6 or 1.7

    Hi,
    yesterday somebody asked what magnitude differences one would
    expect for a SNIa going from z=1.6 to 1.7. At peak it comes
    down to ~0.3 mag in Z, less than 0.2 mag in J and ~0.1 mag in H,
    i,e quite comparable to the intrinsic brightness scatter of
    Ia's.
