Rob,
We seem to have discovered an almost 2 arcminute (not 2 arcsecond!)
problem with the WCS coordinates for at least one of the subtractions
(we don't yet know if the same problem exists for all of them).
First, we looked for candidate acs04-022 on its reference image,
acs02-03_2/jan032003acs3205sum.fts using ds9 and it does appear exactly
at the coord that the subtraction says it should:
Ra: 12:36:45.1 Dec: +62:15:35
Then when you look for that location on the GOODS Sect 33 using ds9,
you can easily make the visual match of the images, but you find the
coords are all significantly different, so the candidate coord really
is:
Ra: 12:36:51.6 Dec: +62:13:47
(Now we're checking the coords of the same visually-matched location on
the Subaru I-band field with ds9, and we're getting something much
closer to the GOODS Sect 33 coord, although about ~3 sec off in RA and
~7 arcsec off in Dec. However, in the Subaru i-band subtraction it
matches the GOODS Sect33 coords exactly when you hand-select the
candidate location. )
We'll keep on hunting for the other candidates.
