The cover story of the November 2002 Sky & Telescope a very fine article
"Anatomy of a Supernova," by Stephen M. Maurer and D. Andrew Howell. Not
surprisingly, it's about SNe Ia. But surprisingly, the cover picture is of
M1!
The accretion disk picture on pp 28-29 is the best ever, and somehow we
need to get a copy to use in talks! Photoshop is a distinct possibility.
