    These are the "May" supernovae. Pierre or another one of the FROGS:
    please let me know if I've left off a candidate that shouldn't be left
    off!

    VLT is going to attempt T02-015 and/or C02-031 tonight. Is Gemini observing tonight? Isobel, what targets did you give them?

    For all of these candidates, see sntrak for more info.

    CONFIRMED SUPERNOVAE
    ====================

    Two supernovae are confirmed with Gemini:

    name name2 RA2000 Dec2000 Prio Mag ApSig %INC
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    T02-037 Elindil 15:46:57.0 +08:12:36.6 8 22.3 8.8 46 z=0.49
    S02-064 13:24:06.3 +27:42:10.0 8 22.8 111.1 107 z=0.56?

    Both of these are on the list I sent to Javier for TNG tonight.

    For beginning-of-night candidates, it sounds like we won't do anything
    with them. See my previous candidate E-mail for information about
    candidates at RA 10h. I will assume they wlil be ignored unless we want
    to try to rescue one or two of them; there are a couple of good looking
    potential low-z supernovae there.

    END-OF-NIGHT CANDIDATES

    MIDDLE-OF-NIGHT CANDIDATES (In the "deep" field)
    ================================================

      (S02-xxx magnitudes are probably all i' AB magnitudes. If the
       Ap.Sig and %INC are zero, the magnitudes come from Naoki; otherwise,
       they come from Alex C.)

      (S02-xxx supernovae marked with * were found in the SDF flanking
      fields by both Naoki and somebody in the USA.)

    Priority 5 (or greater)

      ** A spectrum of C02-027 was attempted with Gemini, but yielded no SN
         features. Isobel tenatively redshifted the galaxy at z=0.48.

      ** Greg's previous note about candidates said this one had a
         "weird lightcurve" and ranked it down.
