That was down to the wire! (Actually, we kind of knew what
we were going to send HST a whole hour before the deadline, for a
change.)
Tonight's plan (in order expected) and achievements:
Subaru: (~mag)
S02-032 23.5 z ~ 1.08 SNIa
(not beautiful, but rough "match" to
S02-002)
C02-007 24.0 z = 1.77 AGN
(we aborted exposure early after seeing
AGN)
C02-005 24.1 z=0.4 gal lines (we haven't checked SN yet)
(we aborted exposure early after seeing
redshift)
S02-026 24.7
__________ (Weak data, but we haven't worked hard on it yet)
S02-044 24.1
(We never got to do this one.)
S02-025 24.4
(We never got to do this one. -- VLT tried
but
got very weak "blue-ish" spectrum)
Gemini:
C02-006/011 24.1 z=0.67 from strong galaxy lines
(not great SN spectrum)
S02-027 23.6
(pretty flat spectrum, just maybe z~0.9 SN??)
S02-049 23.7 z=0.88 SNIa (nice SN spectrum)
(redshift from gal features and neighbor too)
S02-055
_________ (nothing obvious, needs more analysis)
S02-037 24.4
(We never got to do this one.)
===========================================
Some of previous results:
C02-000 22.1 z = 0.25 SNIa
(Keck spectrum)
C02-008 23.7 z =0.28 SNIa
(Keck spectrum)
S02-002 24.3 z~1.08 SNI (redshift also from gal lines)
(VLT spectrum)
S02-016 23.9 z=0.56 SNIa
(Keck spectrum)
S02-035 24.4 z~1.37 SN?? (Keck spectrum)
(possible, but we didn't have the
weather to get it)
S02-001 24.8 z~1.4 galaxy line?
(VLT spectrum)
