OUr third night was beautifully clear. Unfortunately, the seeing was
atrocious through most of the night. We started at >=2", and stayed
there for a few hours. As we got into the deep fields, it nosedived
down to 1", and we were feeling pretty good for about an hour and a
half. Then it rose back up and spent the rest of the night between
1.5-2" (including most of the second deep field-- so neither deep field
had good seeing through its time).
Pretty dissapointing.
I hope the search run has better luck, but I can tell already that even
if it does, the search will be a nightmare as we trade off well-timed
references for depth.
