These plots show the Sobolev optical depth of some important lines as a function temperature and density and for 4 compositions of interest in SNe. Calculations assume LTE and that the time since explosion is 20 days (for other times, simply note tau is porportional to time).

Hydrogen rich = Solar Composition
C/O rich = Solar Composition with H and He burned to C/O
Carbon burned = C burned mainly to O and Mg
Oxygen burned = C & O burned to mainly Si and S
