 Use 1-m class telescopes near max for all bands

 Switch to 2.5-m class telescopes 

   a) for U-band two weeks after max
   b) for all UBV during periods when moon is unavoidable

Note that most of the time comes at late epochs. LCO Swope + Tek% was 
zeropoints were used. Tek5 has best blue response, so these are minimum
