Comments:

Chris (preliminary VLT): Flat spectrum. BLac?

Isobel (preliminary VLT + preliminary LRIS): LRIS data: looks flat. No SN features. VLT - also flat.

Chris (final): Featureless blue thing

Andy (final): More likeley to be an SN II than Mussorgsky, because it doesn't appear to be at the center of its host, though it is somewhat hard to tell based on the discovery image.
