With my own custom map (which includes a standart one), the best 2 locations seem to be (180,160) and (158,175). They are the "best" in the sense of being farthest from the edges, bad "centerlines" and bad pixels. You might have to specify this wrt the image center (128,128). I don't seem to find the precise instructions, but I remember that you had them.
