One or more observations from the following HST proposal have been scheduled
for execution on SMS 042367AD. The SMS begins 23-AUG-2004 00:00:00(UT) and
ends 30-AUG-2004 00:00:00(UT). No action is required on your part unless
you have a Real Time Contact. Please contact your Program Coordinator (PC)
    if you have any questions.

The Preliminary Observing Timeline Report (POTR or "weekly timeline")
lists the planned HST observations for a given interval. Once
observations have been implemented by your Program Coordinator, they
are then ready to be scheduled on a flight calendar by the Science
Planning and Scheduling Team. Flight calendars are usually one week
in duration and generally start at midnight (UT) Monday. The
observations are scheduled on a flight calendar about three weeks
before it is to start executing. The SMS (Science Mission
Specification) is a detailed description of the HST's activities and
uniquely identifies a specific timeline. The SMS name is of the form
YYDOYVVV, where YY is the year, DOY is the day of the year of the
first day in the timeline and VVV is the version (the version number
    is not significant).

About two weeks before the start of execution, a Timeline Report is generated,
along with personalized subsets of the Timeline Report which are sent out via
e-mail to each of the proposers that have observations scheduled during that
week. At the time of generation, all observations on the Timeline Report are
expected to be executed, but problems with the spacecraft, scientific
instruments, communications contacts, or other events beyond our control may
    disrupt the Timeline.

The entire Timeline is available on STEIS in the observer/weekly_timeline
directory, as well as on the World Wide Web at
    http://www.stsci.edu/ftp/observer/weekly_timeline/ and via listserver (see
STEIS or email hstquery@stsci.edu for subscription instructions). Comments
and suggestions may also be sent to your Program Coordinator or to
    patterson@stsci.edu.
