...actually, it was ready early yesterday, but I was waiting for Alex to
tell me he'd installed the new deeplib in Berkeley. I haven't heard
from him, so you will need to wait until he tells you that
deeplib-0.5.14 is installed.
The test subtractions are just redos of the last search. These are
there for mucking about with and playing with the software. Learn the
greyscale! Learn the individual images!
Some notes:
* PLEASE REREAD THE INSTRUCTIONS:
http://brahms.phy.vanderbilt.edu/deepsearch/scp/acs2004/howtoscan.html
Some things are added, some things have changed. In particular, you
need to use a different command line than you used last time if you
want access to the individual sum components for identifying CRs.
* There is no need to save anything. This isn't a search, this is for
practice. If you do save things as new candidates, they will go to
the TestSupernovaCandidates Wiki page (with a name like test-001).
* The Wiki procedures have changed. Look at the
TestSupernovaCandidates Wiki page. The list on that page is now
generated automatically based on the priorities in the database; you
guys can't make a huge mess out of it the way you did last time. To
change the priorities, edit the Wiki page for an individual
supernova. You can also add a "soundbyte" for each candidate, which
will be listed along with the candidate name on the main candidate
list page.
They will of course be listed on a May Candidates page as the next
search rolls around.
* When a new candidate is saved, it can take up to 15 minutes before a
Wiki page for that candiate is created. DO NOT CREATE ONE
YOURSELF. Wait for the automatically created one.
* The list of subtractions to play with are on the scan monitor page:
http://brahms.phy.vanderbilt.edu/cgi/deepsearch/scp/scanmonitor.cgi
DO NOT DO ANY OF THIS IN BERKELEY UNTIL ALEX CONLEY TELLS YOU THAT
DEEPLIB-0.5.14 IS INSTALLED.
If you are anywhere else, you will need to download and install
deeplib-0.5.14 from:
http://brahms.phy.vanderbilt.edu/deepsearch/scp/deepsoft/deeplib/index.html
