I'm in favor of redundancy, and of repeating one's self, and of saying
the same thing more than once, if it helps clarity and makes the thing
read better.
"cull out" sounds better than "cull" to me, so I'm gonna put the "out"
back in. Even if it isn't strictly correct, it sounds less "strange".
