Rob,
IN the opening sentence: Saul and I suggest to add "in a series of
papers," in line 4 below:
Five years ago, the Supernova Cosmology
Project (SCP) and the High-Z Supernova Search
both reported observations of Type Ia supernovae
(SNe Ia) in a series of papers, which gave strong evidence for an acceleration
of the Universe's expansion, and hence
for a non-zero cosmological constant, or dark energy
density (Perlmutter et al. 1998; Garnavich et
al. 1998a; Schmidt et al. 1998; Riess et al. 1998;
Perlmutter et al. 1999, for a review, see Perlmutter
& Schmidt 2003).
(I am concerned a referee from the other team would accuse us of trying
to assert publication priority over them using the Nature paper. The
"strong evidence for an acceleration" primarily comes from Riess 98,
P99. )
