Keck only opened for about half an hour at the end of the night (with 1"
seeing), but we only had time to check some of our acquisition
techniques before our SN fields set. Subaru never was able to even
try to do any science at all last night. So no progress for the night
except for the one target Chris reported on from VLT, C02-031 (z ~
    0.53).

For tomorrow night (and the following nights) I've made a version of the
current candidate list, which is broken down by magnitude ranges and
which telescope might try for a given candidate first. It is somewhat
updated from previous lists. I'll attach it to this message.

Please look at the targets that are on this list, and, if you can,
please try to help fill in the following blanks:

    1) We need finding charts (or else FITS finders) for a number of the
candidates that are on the top sections of this table. This includes
all of the Subaru SDF-main fields, and several of the CFHT candidates
from the French team. Even if we use FITS finders, it would be very
helpful to have some form of Postscript file output with a crosshair
    showing where the candidate is.

    2) There is practically no information available to evaluate several of
the unassigned candidates, like S02-069 and S02-081 (including no tiles
on the web). If anyone can help figure out what the ranking of these
should be that would be good.

    3) Are we missing some important candidates?

    4) If anyone can perform some magic and get us back some I ~ 24.6 mag
candidates in the CFHT fields that would help a lot, since then we can
go for one of the z ~ 1.2 candidates that we want for HST -- and still
be able to get its IR points with VLT/ISAAC.

Note: I'll contact Chris Lidman right now to help figure out if we can
do one extra target there more than indicated on the attached file.

    Goodnight/goodmorning, --Saul
