Note on host galaxy I-magnitudes

Hi,
I added two plots to
http://www.physto.se/~snova/private/2002Arun/2002Arun.html
showing that the *average* host galaxy I-band for a
SN in the range z=[0.8-1.2] is about 22.75 (RMS=1.6 mag). Constant
rate/comoving volume has been assumed and that the Ia rate is
proportional to the galaxy restframe B-band luminosity.
According to this, the candidates below are in the right
ballpark, assuming the calibration isn't off by as much as
Rob fears.

S02-002 (23.80, host 23.03; 13.5 sigma)
S02-024 (24.55, host 22.57; 7.1 sigma)
S02-001 (24.57, host 23.45; 6.6 sigma)
