LBL Cosmology Visitor Program Weak Lensing workshop Day 6 discussions * dN/dz measurements require redshifts, which are expensive to obtain so it seems unlikely to have numbers soon. Similarly, one doesn't expect published shear power spectra before next year. Yet existing data could do power spectrum evolution if a joint analysis between data sets was carried out. * For multiband observations and shape estimation, one isn't coadding as such, but essentially using the union of the filters. If one is shape noise limited in one band then one won't get a huge improvement; also note the PSF is sampled at different times for conventional ground observing in different filters. Basically one wants to combine shapes rather than images, though the summed images are used to find the galaxy center. * Jeff Newman presented some numbers on redshift distributions to look at the difference between z_mean and z_median and as a function of magnitude. * Steve Kahn and John Peterson presented aspects of the LSST atmosphere and optics simulation.
