Plaskett Spectroscopic Supernova Survey (PSSS)
The Plaskett Spectroscopic Supernovae Survey (PSSS) is a graduate student project at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Victoria, Canada. It is run by Dave Balam, Melissa L. Graham and Eric Y. Hsiao of the University of Victoria. The main goals are to spectroscopically classify new supernovae and transient objects and to build a database of supernova spectra. The PSSS has been awarded on average two nights per week on the 1.8-meter Plaskett Telescope since it began in July of 2007.
